Each event dated and recorded against an anonymous participant code by the person who did the work — evidenced counts, not survey estimates. Distance travelled: average confidence across 31 tracked cohorts moved from 4.2 to 6.3 (n=612 responses). Counts and shifts are never converted to pounds.

What a funder or public body can do with this
An area-wide, bottom-up evidence base: outcome counts an evaluator can trace to dated records, confidence change tracked over time, and the sector's own contribution costed at published rates. It reads across Wellbeing of Future Generations goals and youth work returns without re-collecting anything. Owl Impact can be built into the grant itself as the monitoring and evaluation line — the evidence layer the funder already expects — so every funded organisation reports this way from day one, at no cost to their own budgets.
