Measure the distance travelled

Don't just record that a session happened — capture the shift it made. Ask the room a question (or several) before you start and again at the end, then enter the averages here. We'll turn it into your first outcome measure: the distance travelled.

✓ Bonus — grab the session prep checklists →🟢 Want it over time? ↓

1. Which fits you best?

Pick one and we’ll tick the measures that suit your work — you can change any of them. They line up with recognised frameworks (Lundy participation, wellbeing scales, youth-justice outcomes).

2. Choose what you're measuring

Tick everything you want to ask — you can measure more than one. Then print the slips (or use a show of hands). Anonymous — no names, ever.

How to ask it — before and after: “On a scale of 1 to 10 — where 1 is not at all and 10 is completely — how confident do you feel about [your topic]?” Ask it before you start, then ask the exact same question again at the end. The rise between the two is the distance travelled.
Prints anonymous before/after slips covering everything you ticked.

3. Enter the room's before & after

Pop in the average for each thing you measured (1–10, where 1 = low and 10 = high). Got a pile of individual scores instead? Open “Work out the average” under any measure and it does the maths for you.

Tick at least one measure above and its before/after boxes will appear here.
Fills in automatically from the scores you enter above — or just type it if you used a show of hands.
