ATO Insight Solutions Ltd licenses several different things under the AsktheOwl® and Owl Impact™ brands. This page sets out, in plain English, what each licence covers. The short version: everything we make stays our intellectual property, and you’re licensed to use it — not to copy, resell or pass it on. End users, including young people, never pay.

AsktheOwl® sector packs
Sector packs (such as Owl Build) are sold as an annual, single-organisation licence, tied to the email address used at purchase. Your organisation may use the pack in any school or community session it delivers, customise the editable slides with its own branding and content, and print the included materials for those sessions. Your licence includes all updates released during your licence year, delivered through your licence folder.
The pack is licensed, not sold. You may not copy, share, resell, sublicense or redistribute it outside your organisation — including sharing folder access or files, or delivering sessions on behalf of other organisations using your licence. Each organisation needs its own licence. The licence runs for 12 months from purchase; we’ll contact you before renewal, and if you don’t renew, folder access ends at expiry, though customised copies you made for your own sessions remain yours to keep. Always deliver from the current version in your folder — salaries and labour-market data change.
Owl Impact™ toolkit downloads
The PDF toolkits (bought through our store) are licensed for use within your own organisation. You may print and use them with the groups you work with, as many times as you like. You may not resell, share or redistribute the files, or pass them to other organisations. They remain our copyright.
The Owl Impact™ tools
Use of the Owl Impact tools — the social value logger, the distance-travelled tool and over-time tracking — is governed by our access terms. Those terms cover access, pricing, your data, and how any changes are handled.
Delivery & train-the-trainer partners
Some organisations are licensed to deliver Owl Impact to others — for example, training providers running a train-the-trainer programme, or partners rolling the tools out across their own networks. These arrangements are set out in a separate written agreement tailored to each partner; this page does not by itself grant any delivery or partner rights.
Partner arrangements are deliberately flexible — there are no fixed published fees, terms can sit within existing infrastructure or grant funding, and they scale gently with delivery. Whatever the arrangement: the intellectual property in Owl Impact and AsktheOwl® stays with ATO Insight Solutions Ltd, partners deliver to our standards and brand guidelines, and end users never pay. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the packs, toolkits, tools, methodology, and the AsktheOwl® and Owl Impact™ brands and trade marks remains the property of ATO Insight Solutions Ltd. Nothing on this page transfers any ownership to you.
