For sponsors, funders & membership bodies

Put your name on the evidence

Every session logged through Owl Impact™ becomes an instant, professional social value report — and your organisation’s brand can go on it. Whether you fund the work, badge your members’ reports, brand your own evidence for bids, or showcase a whole portfolio’s impact — here’s what we provide.

Six ways to use it

Fund work, get the credit

Sponsor or fund activity and your brand goes on the social value reports for the work you backed — “Supported by [you]” on the evidence schools, charities and contractors forward to funders and buyers.

Badge your members' reports

An anchor body, membership organisation or regional skills partnership? Your members' reports can carry your brand — your whole network's impact, evidenced under your name. Each member keeps its own figure; yours is the network view, not a claim on their hours.

Your own brand, for your bids

A contractor or organisation can put your own brand on the reports you generate — professional, on-brand social value evidence to drop straight into tenders and frameworks.

Show a whole portfolio's impact

Fund a programme or portfolio and see it aggregated — every session under your support rolled into one costed total: sessions, hours, reach and social value in pounds, for your ESG, CSR and board reporting. See aggregate insight →

Show what your funding returned

See the social value generated for every pound you put in — a clear value-for-money and leverage figure that shows your funding worked, ready for grant reports and reinvestment cases.

Report up to your board or funders

Funders and anchor bodies are accountable upward too. Roll your funded portfolio into one costed, outcomes-backed figure you can hand to trustees, a board or Welsh Government — without chasing every project for numbers.

Who uses it

Contractors and developers evidencing community benefit on frameworks; the Welsh Government and regional skills partnerships; anchor institutions and membership bodies badging their network; funders and corporates with CSR and ESG reporting to fill; and train-the-trainer partners delivering at scale. It can be regional, sector-specific, or tied to a programme you care about.

Are you a funder?

Every grant you make comes with a monitoring and evaluation requirement — and every grantee meets it differently: a spreadsheet here, a survey there, a scramble the week the return is due. You end up comparing things that were never counted the same way.

Build the evidence in at the point of award instead. Name Owl Impact as the monitoring and evaluation line in the grant itself, and every organisation you fund reports the same way from day one — hours, outcomes, distance travelled and in-kind, logged as the work happens, each figure carrying its rate and its source. The return doesn’t get assembled at year end; it has been writing itself all along.

One evidence base, every grantee

Comparable, aggregatable, traceable to dated records — across a whole funding round or portfolio. See the county and membership sample reports for what lands on your desk.

No burden shifted to grantees

Logging takes two minutes on a phone, and the licence is covered by the grant — the monitoring line you already fund, doing what it was always meant to do — not squeezed out of a charity’s own budget.

Numbers you can defend

Three lenses side by side, never summed. Reach counted, never costed. Every rate published with its source. When an evaluator asks how a figure was built, there is an answer.

Your return, word for word. Every funder’s return asks its own questions — so we build yours in. Send us what your grant asks for and we configure the whole round to it: your outcome measures, your distance-travelled questions, your reporting periods, in every grantee’s logging tools from day one. Grantees answer your questions as they work — not their approximation of them at year end. This is a bespoke, funded service: it is scoped to your round and priced with it.

The Evidence Partnership

This September the Curriculum for Wales rollout completes, and schools have to be able to show how they are meeting careers and work-related experiences. Most have no practical way of recording the employer visits at the heart of it. Fund a school’s Owl Impact licence and you fix that — the toolkit and every report it produces carries “Supported by [you]”, and the school’s careers evidence builds all year. Back a school in your patch alone, or share it with other local firms.

Sole sponsor

The school is yours alone. Your name on the toolkit and on every report it generates, all year.

Shared — one of two, or one of four

Split the commitment with other local firms. Every sponsor’s name travels on the school’s evidence — a scheme you join, not a bill you carry.

What you can report

Your funding as community investment, and a dated, costed record of any sessions your own people deliver in that school — evidence you can put straight into your own social value and ESG reporting, and into tenders.

The whole school’s year, anonymised

An aggregate of everything that school logged: total social value in £, sessions, hours, reach. We won’t tell you in advance what that figure will be — nobody can, because no one has ever counted it. That is precisely why it is worth counting, and why the first businesses to fund a school will be the first to know.

And here’s the line we hold. That aggregate is yours to tell — annual report, ESG narrative, community story. It is not yours to bank: the social value in it belongs to the employers who did the work, and each of them receives their own report. Your own figure only ever contains your funding and your own people’s hours. Any tool that lets you count someone else’s is a tool that will eventually embarrass you in a tender — ours is built so the number you put your name to is one you can defend.

Same principle throughout: every contribution is logged as social value or as in-kind, never both. The same hour never appears twice, which is precisely why the total means something.
